The girls were taken to the airport. At the airport parking the girls ran into Peter's 2 year old son. Boy was not happy that Mimi was sitting beside him, his mom explained that boy was terrorized by a little girl cousin. Although the girls are also mean little ones, they were too focused on the car ride to terrorize boy. Mimi nonstop said "Mimi 坐车", "车走", with occasional "树叶". After the adults got home, grand ma ma left in a hurry with the xiao pooch. The girls waved grand ma ma bye without fuss. Dada cooked some eggs and put bites of egg on each fork. They chomped and put the fork down for dada to refill. The eggs needed to be cut big so it would stay on the fork. The girls would eat them in one bite. Even xiao E, she tried so hard to stuff a huge bite in her mouth, with passion. Sometimes with stuffing help from the other hand. They ate a lot of egg and then some fruit and graham crackers. Mimi picked up drum to play, but after a brief few drumming with the stick, so put the stick in her mouth and started sucking and thrashing with it drumming the air. The adults deemed her too sleepy to play. But Mimi turned the drum over, and started stirring with the stick, saying "Mimi zuo fan", and started offering bites to ma ma. In the morning, dada got mimi up first. Mimi was rolling around the ground, and got a box on her head. She was scooting around, shuffling the box around. Then dada played legos with the girls. Dada handed the blocks to mimi and mimi would place them neatly. Then mimi and ella would hand blocks to dada while dada built a tower. The girls played very well by themselves while the adults took care of their own things. Occasionally coming to the fence to pass a toy the adults and wanting attention. The early upper Mimi gradually needed more attention, so it was time to go out. Mama and dada took the girls out to get some lunch at tian tian noodles. Grandma reported that mimi puts the blocks into the little clock correctly, so she's good at matching shapes. Not only that, she also ensures that the number on the block faces up so grandma can effectively tell the time. Over the weekend, mimi and ella were gifted a little pie. Dada heated it up in the oven for them to eat for dinner. Mama put a little bit of pie on a tiny fork and put it onto each kid's tray and she would pick it up and take a bite. Then mama would take the fork and put a fresh bite on the fork. Repeat until no more pie. Afterward mama sat the girls down and read them cat in the hat. In the morning ma ma heard little whimpery cry upstairs, she discovered a xiao E one in her crib. Xiao E whimpered with lower lip quiver. Ma ma stretched her arms, but xiao E shuffled away from ma ma. Quietly whimpered "rao rao" (the 姥姥), lip quiver, lip quiver, "rao rao". Ma ma stole the E one from the crib and brought her downstairs. Upon seeing lao lao, the E one regained strength, shuffled with her big jumper folded feet slowly to lao lao. The girls were offered some plates to bounce the balls on. Mimi first got the hang of it, put a ball on the plate, walks around slowly, then jumps up and down to bounce the ball, saying "打". She swirls the ball in her "盘子", saying "转". Xiao E kept giving ma ma a ball to put on ma ma's plate, then puts her plate on top saying "扣上", and tries to bounce by slapping her plate on top. Grand ma ma reported Mimi likes playing with the beach ball and the target ball alternatively calling them "大球" and "小球". Tonight the girls played with a new box of legos, but this time lego brand legos. Giant ones. Mimi and ella stacked blocks together in a giant tower with some dada assistance. Ella was standing up tall and putting blocks high on the peak. Mimi was helping dada construct the spire. Once the tower was completed the girls marveled at the construction and then mimi smashed it all down. It was a little mimi ordeal. Dada took the pieces and built a little lego person for the girls. Mimi and ella did their own block stacking with mama. Mama came to examine dada's construction and she accidentally broke it. She helped reassemble it. Dada went to explore the girls's and ella came and destroyed dada's construction. She chucked the arm off and clocked dada right in the face, cutting his lip. Grand ma ma reported Mimi was played piano with monkey while saying "hou hou tan qin". The adults got to the library earlier than the girls. The girls were spotted landing from the car in jackets. Mimi was distracted by the origami case by the door. Saying "鸟鸟", "飞", "好多". The girls ate wildly, nothing but 要条条. Mimi spotted the cracker from Wendy chilli and 要饼干. Xiao E held the cracker in her cheeks, when the adults laughed at her she spit out the split and chewed pieces in one clean spit. Mimi and ella wouldn't eat much dinner. They had some bread and an orange, but they wouldn't eat anything else. Mama and dada prepared so many nice things, some chicken, some persimmon, some crackers, but they wouldn't eat any of it. They ate a little bit and were cleaned up for play. Mimi and ella cleaned up the toy room so we could bust out some new toys. More accurately, mimi helped dada put away the toys and ella rocked away on her rocking horse supervising. Mimi also picked up the little scooter and brought it to the scooter corner too, she tidied up so nicely. After putting everything away, it was time for some lego play time! Mimi stacked three tiny blocks in a tower and proclaimed "HAO GAU", mandarin for "SO TALL". Dada helped her stack it higher and higher and when it got wobbly it collapsed. Today we went to dimsum with grandma and grandpa. Mimi and ella sat down and played with some chopsticks until the dishes came. They snacked a little on some cheerios. Mimi liked the shu mai, loved the steam buns. Ella loved the buns, ate one and a half steamed buns by herself. Mama ordered a stinky durian pastry and ella sneakily took tiny bites. Mimi wasn't really into it, it was stinky but sweet and creamy. Ella eventually stuffed the quarter durian pastry all into her mouth, then tried to fly away from the durian stuck to her hands. The girls played peekaboo with the table cloths. Xiao E fiercely defended table cloths from Mimi plays. At a nearby asian grocery store, ella and mimi found child-sized shopping carts and roamed the shop with grandpa and grandma. The girls woke up very early in vancouver today, way earlier than usual. They were too excited to play with grandpa, and they had a rowdy morning. Grand pa pa reported Mimi would ask for "bao bao ye ye" (she refused to say "person bao bao" instead of "bao bao person" to ask for pick up), once up she would look around and say "yao ju ju" or yao something she sees. After lots of playing and snacking, mama and dada took the girls to a nice little park to walk around. It was chilly so the girls had to bundle up, mimi had a cat jacket and a scarf while ella had the bunny hoodie. At the park, the girls explored around and discovered a fountain. Today mama and dada met grandma at the library. The girls were at the kids computer station when mama and dada got there and squealed with joy when they saw them. The girls proceeded to loudly claim things they were reading in the book and they see on the computer. When Mimi walked out of the library on the way to the lobby to eat, she pointed out every single animal she saw. And proclaimed their name loudly, much to the detriment of the other library patrons. When she passed a wall, she Mimi looked at the leaf on the wall and said "bee hu" which is lizard. They took down the lizards and replaced them with leaves. Grandma explained that the lizards were gone, and that they are leaves now. Mimi was astonished. She yelled out "BEE HU". We took them to the lobby area to eat some food. Mimi and ella love pushing the button that automatically opens the door. In the morning grand ma ma was taken to get finger print. The girls were taken along. They arrived at the office. There was an old cassette player on the ground. The girls started en en the buttons. All the way until grand ma ma's appointment was done. On the way out the girls saw a big bird on the parking light and went wild laughing. After work we took the girls to story time. We got to the library and held the girls and walked through the rain. This morning, ella and mimi woke up super early, even accounting for the time change. Ella was put down and went back to sleep but mimi was not happy. Think mimi is starting to get a cold and is too congested. Mimi was changed, had some milk, and played with dada in the morning. Some quiet peaceful play with blocks and book reading. Ella slept in a lot, she was still drowsy when woken up but quickly recovered. Mimi was still cranky, don't like xiao E touching anything. She was angry when xiao E gets on her own Eloise bunny, even if ma ma helps her onto the Amelia bunny. Ma ma made the mistake of putting the bunnies side by side, drama ensued. Today was the final full day of the michigan vacation. We woke up and went to a nearby park that dada used to go to as a child. It was still wet from rain at the park and there was large playground. The girls ran to the swings and begged to be placed in the little buckets. Mimi nonstop said "qiu qian, bao bao". Ba ba wiped it clean and installed Mimi. Ma ma was reluctant, but xiaoE nonstop said "qiu qian, bao bao". Xiao E was also installed. Ba ba played on the slide, with wet butt ba ba decided it was time to explore more. The girls crossed a river via a bridge and went to a nice open field section of the park. Mimi scouted a head, marching through the swampy grass. Ella followed with mama and dada. Today is our travel day back to washington. Grandma and grandpa closed the restaurant today to spend more time with the girls. Grandma and grandpa had lots of play time with the girls, and they made a nice lunch. Mimi and ella loved grandpa's seared fish. Once packed, the girls said goodbye to grandma and uncle gordon and we all left to the airport with grandpa. At the airport, we checked in and worked our way to the gate. The girls waited for boarding at the nice play area in the airport that had a TV. They were very interested in the spiderman cartoon. It captured their attention. Once the girls boarded the plane, Mimi and ella wolfed down cracker after cracker. Once in flight, the girls really wanted to explore. A grand ma ma came early in the morning, finding a wrapped xiao E burrito. Gradmama and the girls rejoiced to be reunited. In the afternoon, grandma took the girls to work for office candy. Mama made some wonderful little adornments to mimi's bunny sweater and made some very cute paper plate turtle shells for ella. Today in the morning, grandma got to the girls first but dada got up in time to scoop mimi up. Mimi was calling out for "hei mao", black cat, looking for our cat. The cat is in Surrey, but dada took mimi to look around for the cat. No cat found, we bothered mama in bed and took mimi down to play. Grandma fed them milk and mama and dada got ready for work. Grand ma ma read polar bear polar bear book with the girls. Mimi knew all the animals, flipping the book and yelling. After work, it was time for a costco trip. Grandma was with the girls examining costco stuff when mama and dada arrived. Dada grabbed a giant teddy bear and snuck up on the girls. The bear feasted on those tiny toddlers. Grandma went to get car with ba ba. Ma ma roamed with the girls at the music toys. The girls pushed buttons, Mimi danced wildly, xiao E danced mildly.
