In the morning I came out of the bedroom door. Immediately heard the girls yell ma ma. When I got to the stairs. Two little people with bibs came and called for ma ma. With ba ba chasing behind asking them to return bibs.
I cleaned up and we headed to kids quest. When I buckled Ella in, Mimi screamed "月亮代表我的心", letter by letter, but definitely scream with no tune. Ella joined in half way, also scream no tune. The girls then recited a rhyme I never heard. Then they sang random songs on the ride. Including Mimi singing a twinkle twinkle little star, with all the lyrics replaced by repeating ba ba ma ma. I picked up some Midori bread on the way. We did a loop through kids quest parking, park parking, street parking, almost to proper down town when ba ba decided to drop us off at kidsquest and go find parking himself. He drove to kidsquest and two spots opened up, we took one.
We want to the farm room first. The girls picked a few things her and there. Didn't grasp the buying concept James and I tried to demonstrate. They were uninterested in the money chips. They were not into the live size farm animals either. We offered them some food. Then went on to explore.
There was a large train track by the farm room. The girls went to play with the trains. I went under the table to stand at the other side of the table, wanting to play with the girls. Mimi played with me. Ba ba and Ella disappeared quickly. Mimi also crawled under the table and played with different trains on different tables. She loved the sloped tracks, pushing cars up and down it. She also loved a little tunnel in the track, she would drive her train on a parallel track, but move it to the track below to go through the tunnel.
There was a story time by the story tree and I saw ba ba and Ella there. Mimi refused to go. Too focused on getting her train through the tracks. After story time ba ba and Ella dropped to play with the 吊车. Then disappeared again. Mimi learnt she could put cargo on trains now and and had more work to do.
Ella and ba ba came back again, and Mimi crawled out of the table and looked around. We went to the little kids room. The girls liked pushing the sound buttons by the fruit people, they were all creepy baby sounds. Mimi looked at the walls, said "马呢。" I looked, and there were indeed many farm animals, but no horse. We played a lot in the room, Mimi liked the locks, the girls liked hiding in the tunnel with ba ba, playing with the light displays there.
We then went to the story tree. The girls went up, looked around, then Mimi came down. Mimi found a soft dog puppet, hugged and kissed it. A kid came and claimed the puppy. Mimi whimpered a little. Then settled in to play with little furniture and little people. Ba ba and Ella joined soon after. Ella moved to play with the tea set, and Mimi found the dog puppet there, happily hugged it and took it with her to wonder around. I found a very furry cat that I called coon猫。 The girls hated it, hit it, hid all toys from it. Although one time Mimi said I could come with coon猫 to the dog's house under the tree. We played visitor a little.
We explored more. Snacked. Then headed to the water room. Ba ba and I had water fun too. Ba ba reversed the wind tunnel. later made an equilibrium ball obstacle in the tunnel. The girls spent a lot of time there, splashing and transferring water. Mimi got bored first, dragged me to leave, said "我湿透了。" She indeed was.
We went to the mail room. The water room was empty by then, after filled with kids an hour previously, so we though maybe everyone went for lunch. We arrived at the mail room and it was fully packed with wild children. Mimi held my hand and looked everywhwere. Including going up the crowded truck where loud children were running and screaming all around her. On the way down a kid threw a box on Mimi. Mimi didn't complain, just held my hand tight and continue exploring. The craft room attached to it had a party, Mimi really wanted to go in, urged me to go in many times, and I explained that was someone else's party many times. Mimi eventually decided to leave.
We went to the climbing tree, Mimi went up the 4 and under entrance, we had fun climbing. On one climb Mimi saw ba ba under the tree. We came down, Ella came up, I went up with Ella. After some climbing ba ba informed me that Mimi wanted to go upstairs, and up they went. I climbed with Ella for a while, then went upstairs too.
Ella saw the craft room where we snacked and drew previously, and wanted to go it. She focused on putting pipe cleaner into a pot, and I went out to find ba ba. They were playing some blocks nearby, so I returned to Ella. A stuff showed Ella threading pipe cleaner through button then into the pot, Ella got very into it. After a while Ella asked to draw. She asked me to white characters, and she traced super nicely. Then she cut and glued for a while. When Mimi and ba ba came to find us.
Mimi had dog puppet in her arms. Which I asked her to leave before going to water room, because it was "2nd floor dog" I said. Ba ba reported that Mimi came upstairs on a quest to find dog. They finally found it under the story tree on a second loop there. The girls glued a little, then ere frustrated by little things, so we decided to leave.
We opened the car door to let the girls in. Ella immediately said "我要包包。" I smelled the bread from the car too. I sat in the back seat and gave Ella a big piece of challan bread. Ella extended her other hand, said "这只手也要。" I gave her another piece. Mimi didn't want bread. She said she wanted "饼干。" I asked fish cracker or 圈圈。She pointed at the door, said "这里的饼干妈\/妈/。你去这里找找。" I guessed she wanted the car chex mix, but wanted to offer her some fruit. Mimi choose banana. Ella wanted the apple, still with two pieces of bread in hand. I asked her to only hold two things, she squeezed both pieces of bread in one hand and asked for apple. After some coaxing she gave me the bread, and I gave her the apple. I gave Mimi a bite, she deep throated the banana and took a huge bite. Ella wanted a bite too, and took a normal bite from the side. Mimi wanted another bite, refused to take from the side, took the thick banana whole in her mouth, deep throated again and took a bigger bite. Every bite Mimi took was huge.
We dropped by Tapioca express to get boba and popcorn chicken with level 3 spicy. When ba ba came back to the car, the girls immediately asked what ba ba had. We informed them it was spicy chicken. Mimi immediately asked to eat spicy chicken. I gave her a bite, she took a tiny bite since it wwas hard piece, bearly chipping the crust, but got spicy powder all over her mouth. She started breathing heavily and drank lots of water. She then asked to eat more. I offered her a nudge, she took a huge bite, then repeated the breathing and chugging water. She ate a whole piece, then I informed her it was best to limit one piece a day, and offered her banana. She ate some more banana, then asked for fish, after a couple pieces of fish she fell asleep a little after 3. Ella had been chomping apple in small bite the whole time, it's about half gone. She did take a small lick of popcorn chicken when Mimi was super into it, also drank lots of water, and never asked again. I leaned forward and talked to ba ba. After a minute Ella said "妈妈你在那里。" I leaned back and kissed her forehead. She shook her head, said "no. 我要鱼鱼饼干。" I gave her one. She chewed for a while. Then began spacing out, and fell asleep a little before 3:10.
We got the girls out in an hour. The girls were pantsless because they were all wet, and we took them off before getting in the car at kidsquest. Ella sat on my lap and she flipped through 环游世界做苹果派。 Mimi kneeled beside us and watched while Ella flip. Ella pointed at things and read them, both girls laughed at animals and things. After flipping to the last page, Mimi said "我们从来没吃过苹果派。" I said maybe we'll cook some pies the next time we hang out with Lily and Auggiestine, since that was what we talked about on Wednesday when we had dinner togther, each person would make a pie the next time we hang out, although we shot down the idea after thinking through how much work it was.
I opened the clothes box to prepare for shower. Mimi glanced over, said "我想念我的男孩衣服。" I asked her which one was her boy cloth. She came over and pointed at the red checkered shirt. I vaguely remember referring it as her boy cloth once when Ella worn a dress. I offered it to her, she took it and ran away.
We headed upstairs for shower. Ella followed me, I took off her clothes and put her in the tub. I went to get Mimi, she was still at the bottom of the stairs and refused to come up. After my urges to come to shower, she whined "要喝奶。" Ba ba agreed to give her some milk and sent her up later. Ella had one rinse left when ba ba came up with Mimi, still whining. Ba ba changed her poopy diaper, which was produced when they were reading 苹果派 book. Ba ba reported Mimi had been whiny, and asked Mimi if she would shower or rather go downstairs, Mimi said go downstairs. I refused and asked her to be put in the tub. Ba ba did, Mimi started bawling. I hugged her, and she calmed down after a few long crys, and two streams of tears cleared her chin. I wiped her cheeks, asked her what bath toy she wanted. She stared and sniffled. I asked about duck, turtle, flamingo, giving space in between. Mimi said nothing. When I asked if she'd like fish, Mimi said "不要。" I waited, she said "我要小抹布。" I proceeded to wash her, she didn't complain at all. After shower the girls played, drinking shower water, feasting plastic fish.
I worked on the diary sitting on the toilet, when I heard inside the bath Ella long cry, yelled "我不要冲！" I opened the door, saw Mimi offering her bottle to Ella, said "给你姐姐", Ella slapped it, said "我不要。" I asked if Mimi accidentally poured water on Ella. Ella just continued playing with her toys in the water. Mimi petted Ella's head, said "对不起姐姐。"
The girls had been referring to themselves as 大小姐，二小姐，大公主，二公主。 Last week they had persisted that Ella was 二xx, Mimi was 大xx. After the trip to lao lao's the girls had changed to Ella referring to herself as 大xx and Mimi as 二xx. Like today Mimi stood up from the shower and said to me "二公主洗完了。二公主想看小猪佩奇。"
Ba ba had finished cooking when we came down and offered the girls spicy chicken and broccoli. The girls picked what they liked respectively. The girls ate a lot, chicken/broccoli, some fruit, then I made yogurt for them. Many cute moments recorded on yi camera.
I was cleaning the girls table and heard ba ba yell Ella no. I went over and saw the last bit of Ella tearing a page off the all year around the town book. Ba ba scolded Ella and I fixed the book. Ella looked sad, and played with her giraffe quitely. Ella had previously torn off a page, and when I was taping I found another page torn. We decided to return the book, maybe it's too big so was easy to get a little tear. And Ella had torn pages that had little cracks many times before.
We played with the cats, played train. Ella had three pieces of bread in her hand from when she asked me earlier. While ba ba read Monkey and Me with the girls, I went to the kitchen and ate a cookie. Ella ran over and said "我要沾蜂蜜。" I informed her I didn't have honey, she asked to look in the fridge, I opened it, she looked, then pointed at a yogurt, said "这是蜂蜜。" I said that was yogurt. Ella took it in her arms and said "我把它当蜂蜜。" I opened the yogurt, she rubbed some on her bread, and ate. She finished all three pieces with yogurt rubbing. Mimi came by just before Ella finished her bread, and asked for some bread, I broke the last piece of challah, Ella dipped and finished the bread, Mimi used it as spoon and ate a bunch of yogurt. I washed the girls hands and we started night routine.
Ella went upstairs easily as usual. She came to lao lao's door and said she wanted to pet lao lao. I opened the door, we had a conversation about where lao lao went. She then sat on lao lao's bed, looked a little sad, said "姥姥不再这里。应为他的床冰冰。" I agree lao lao's room seem to be leaking air. Mimi came up now too and went into the room. I urged them to come out and slightly closed the door by accident, didn't even notice it myself. Ella shot up and hurried out of the room, Mimi hurriedly followed.
Ella and I came in the girls' bedroom. Ella asked me to take off my glasses and lay down. I took off my glasses and put it under the crib, and laid on her pillow. Ella crawled in bed and gave me kiss storms. Ba ba was sitting on the top of the stairs with Mimi, who was whining and refused to move. I asked ba ba if he's seen the gray bunny in english. Ella asked "我的兔子呢。" Came up and looked around for it. Ba ba went downstairs to look in case Ella ranges later. I asked Ella where did she put it last, Ella said she didn't know. I asked if bunny's gone, Ella said "我的灰兔死了。" She then asked "白兔呢？" I saw it by the door earlier so asked her to look around on the floor. She wondered all around the room asking "白兔呢". She looked under the bed, said "啊这是妈妈的眼睛不是小白兔白又白。" Ba ba had came up and sit with Mimi again, and reported there was no sign of gray bunny downstairs. Ella walked to ba ba and said "灰兔呢。我昨天还看到他了呢。" Ba ba said he couldn't find it. Ella then asked "白兔呢。" Ba ba pointed at the floor by the bed, Ella went over and picked up the white bunny, then threw it down, came to bed, said "我的灰兔死了。他被埋在土中国了。" A little like the plot of knucles bunny goodbye story. She then repeated this a few times, then said "我要给他盖个墓碑。" I agreed tomorrow we will. Ba ba had gotten Mimi in the door now and closed the door. Mimi asked ba ba to lay down with her, ba ba laid down, and Mimi laid down. Ella said "我问爸爸灰兔呢。爸爸说不知道。我的灰兔死了。" She repeated a little about her bunny dying and burried in dirt china. Then she said "飞机飞到哪里了呢。他飞到中国了。他说我累了要休息一会儿。" She then went quiet. She then started singing the 学猫叫 song. Including "我们一起学猫叫", "我的心脏蹦蹦跳", and lots of "我就喵喵喵喵喵"。 She then sang some 小苹果，a few good lines, including "看星星眨眼", "新鲜。吼！" Although I'm not sure where the ho came from. She then sang a song about duck, Mimi joined in loudly, ba ba said it was time to go. Mimi repeatedly cried "爸爸跟我睡爸爸跟我睡" urgently until ba ba shut the door.
