In the morning I came down the stairs and wanted to pee, Mimi ran to me and said "妈妈我要包。" I said we finished all the bread, thinking about the newtown bread. She said "还有！还有！你过来看。" And bounce away pointing to the counter by the fridge. I walked over, Mimi excitedly bounced and pointed, said "看！看！" It was the loaf I got for Ira. I gave her a piece, she was happy with it. Meanwhile Ella was being changed by lao lao, also said she wanted bao bao, lao lao asked her to wait. I headed to the bathroom, just after I got there, Ella came and knocked. I opened the door, Ella sweetly said "我要吃包包。" I said please lead me to where bao bao was. She walked towards the kitchen, got bouncier and bouncier while she walked, waddling left and right with slight up feet, and flapped her arms. We got into the kitchen and Mimi stuck her half piece of bread in Ella's face, said "姐姐！给你！" Ella leaned back with CERN face, said "这不是我的ee." Mimi continued to offer "给你", Ella dodged a little while leaning back, like the bullet dodging in the matrix. Ella took the bread eventually. Mimi turned to me and said "我给姐姐面包了。" happily. She just sat there looking at Ella eat. I offered her another piece and she happily ate. When we came home there were only two pieces of bread butts left. I figured I'd meet Ira another time. Ironically she messaged me the next day, I'd get something else for her.
James and I went to Costco before coming home. The girls ran to our groceries and picked up carrots. I let them wild eat. Ba ba saw and criticized. I peeled the skin for them.
Ell was still eating carrot at the table. Mimi asked for the swan from up on the ledge, said "我可怜的鹅倒了。" I gave her the swan. She said "鹅鹅鹅!" And ran away with it. Ella found the scissors on the table I used to open James's package. I offered her the kids scissor instead. Mimi wanted a turn too and I asked her to wait. She followed Ella around expectantly. I chatted with lao lao for a little, then heard Mimi cry and the girls chase around. We found a Mimi laying under the kids table kicking her legs and crying. Lao lao asked what's wrong. Mimi wailed "白鹅eeeee." I peeked at the Ella in the play room near the corner, Ella had the swan in her hand. I gave Mimi the blue swan and went to talk to Ella. Mimi followed. I took Ella's scissors, Ella wailed "这不是你的。" I asked how she felt. And asked her if Mimi would feel the same when her swan was taken. Ella looked away and pinched at the swan. I asked again if Mimi would miss her swan. Mimi was laying on he belly on the bunny watching Ella. She said "我不想念鹅了。蓝鹅是我的。" I gave the scissors back to Ella and apologized.
Ella broken the white swan's neck in two pieces. When I saw it she said gravely with a very deep voice "修不好了。也许姥爷会修成的。"
Ella started rubbing her back on the carpet. Her back was red and still trashy from Sunday. We put anti itch cream on her and give them peppa to distract her from scratching. She squished her left neck, rubbed with her chin, sometimes scratching with her hand. After an episode she didn't scratch as much, and started chomping carrot in big bites. It was half gone after the episode.
Mimi asked for peanut butter, Ella joined. I gave them each a little cup. I was cleaning the counter when Ella suddenly said "喔。我的羹匙。快要断了。" I looked and her spoon was on the ground. I came close asking if she was saying kuai yao diao le. I picked up the plastic spoon, the smallest we had, it was indeed broken by the edge. I held it to take a good look, Mimi grabbed my hand, burstly said "我看。" She stared at it, said "被狗咬的。" I asked Ella who it was, Ella said "Ella 咬的。"
The girls had fun poop conversations in the bathroom. I started a night time story, noticing lao lao had sleeved the 健康歌 book. Mimi came and took the book, said "这是姥姥的书。" I explained I prepared the book, lao lao finished it. Mimi looked suspicious and held the book away from me. She took the tiny creatures book to me said she wanted the story. We started reading and Ella joined. We had fun until the page of all the microbes pictures, where I noticed the girls had colored the page. I attempted to erase the marks without much success. Mimi and Ella both said "sorry 小微生物。" without me prompting. Ba ba came to erase, and I started night time routine.
The girls reluctantly started going up the stairs. Mimi stayed on the steps and whined about "姥姥把我的粉兔拿到姥姥家了。" Because Ella brought the pink blanket bunny back from lao lao's place. Mimi never wanted the pink bunny at lao lao's. Ella took the bunny upstairs, while going up, she said "我们摸它。然后把他放在楼下。" She came in the room, closed the door until there's a sliver left, and looked out. I praised her for being a good door keeper. She said "不让小狗进来。" "我们等爸爸和Mimi。不能让小狗进来。" She turned to me and we chatted about something. She lifted her bunny, petted the bunny, offered me to pet the bunny, then threw it by the corner of the big bed. She peeked out the door sliver, said "狗狗很软。" I said ba ba and Mimi might not come, what to do. She said "爸爸和Mimi马上来。我们等他们。" She checked the sliver and chatted with me intermittently. Mimi's voice got louder, Ella bounced up and down, said quickly and excitely "他们马上就来啦。爸爸和Mimi。。。马上！" Ba ba and Mimi came in the room, Ella closed the door behind them.
Ella went to bed, asked "我的枕头呢。" She had been asking this almost every night. I pet the pillow, she laid on the bed, pulled the pillow to her, scouted down, pulled pillow to her, scouted down, pulled the pillow to her. She was almost half way down the bed, I asked her to put the pillow back on the head of the bed, she lightly waa whimpered, I let her be. She said "妈妈你在大床上睡。然后。。。" She trailed off, I asked what after, she said "然后你出去。去你的房间睡。应为是睡觉的时间了啊。" I went to sat by the large bed. She sat on her bed, pointed at me, said "妈妈你在大床上。" And laid back down. Mimi cried and whined, then asked for milk, ba ba took her downstairs.
I stayed with Ella. Ella got out from bed, started narrating about Mimi crying and ba ba took her downstairs. Then she said "我想亲姥姥。" I said I wouldn't let her disturb 姥姥。She repeated "我亲不到姥姥。" I thought she was saying she 听不到 lao lao. I said that was right because lao lao was asleep. She repeated a few times, then came to me, leaned on one side while looking at me, said "妈妈我亲不到姥姥。" I realized she wanted to kiss lao lao, I said I wouldn't let her disturb lao lao. Ella said "我好想亲姥姥。但是小人儿的妈妈不让。" We repeated this conversation 20 times. Sometimes I wouldn't answer, and she would repeat "但是小人儿的妈妈不让。" I asked her why. She would say "应为姥姥已经睡着了。但是小人儿的妈妈不让。" I asked her to pet her comforter and imagine it was lao lao's. She said "这不是姥姥的被。姥姥的被是黑被子。这是我们的花被。"
Ba ba and Mimi came back and Mimi laid down. Ella was still pacing the room repeating the 亲不到姥姥 conversation. She said "妈妈不让小人儿亲姥姥。小人儿会哭的。" She kneeled down, put her hands by her face and sniffled so cutely so sadly. She did it a couple times, and when she fake cried, Mimi loudly cried "姥姥！" I said I'd go now. Ella asked for tissue paper. I said I'll get some, she said "我要跟你一起去拿手纸。" I asked her to promise not to disturb lao lao. She agreed. We went to the bathroom and got tissue paper, she took the tissue paper, said "亲姥姥之前要先擦擦小脸蛋儿小鼻涕。" She walked towards lao lao's room, I went back to her room and she followed. She wiped and wiped, then repeated wanting to kiss lao lao, then got really sad. I left for a bit, came back, asked if she'd like to go to bed. She said "我要姥姥给我盖被。" I said I had promised lao lao to take care of you , it'll be OK since you came out of my tummy anyways. Mimi asked "姥姥是从谁的肚子里出来的呢。" I answered 太姥姥。Mimi asked who gave birth to 太姥姥。I said 太太太姥姥。She asked who gave birth to 太太太姥姥, I said 太太太太姥姥。 She went quite, then asked who gave birth to 太姥姥。Ella joined. I asked her if I could put her to bed, she asked for lao lao again. I said I'll leave and stood up, she whined loudly. I knelt down, she held my hand and went to bed, but wouldn't go in. I asked her if she'd like to lay down, she asked for lao lao to 盖被，I said I'll leave in that case, she whined loudly, and let me lead her to bed. I tucked her in. Mimi asked "爸爸是谁生的呢。" And we repeated till 太太太奶奶。 I left, the girls stayed quite.
