In the night Mimi cried sadly. I went to the room. Ba ba was already there, seemed he hadn't gone to sleep yet. I petted Mimi and ba ba informed me he'd got it. So I left. I heard Mimi cry for mama. Asked to wipe booger. Ba ba came in our room and got some tissue paper, then I heard Mimi cry about wanting mama to wipe her. After a while she went quiet. Ba ba later reported that it was midnight when Mimi cried. And the coffee lao ye offered him kept him awake till 2am.
In the morning I heard Ella cry. I went into the room, she was sitting off the side of the mat. Comforter on the floor beside her. Pillow on the ground in front of the mat. Bunny by her butt. Mimi horizontal in the middle of the mat. I tucked Mimi in. I asked if Ella wanted to go back to bed. Ella sniffled softly "要擦小脸袋儿。" I got her a piece of tissue. She wiped her left eye and then right eye and then left eye and then right eye, with quick wiping strokes and switched between the eyes quickly, like a xiao coon. Then gave me the tissue. She asked "我的枕头呢。" I petted the pillow, which I'd put back on the mat. She leaned forward and grabbed the pillow and put beside her, looked like she was going to lay on the carpet by the mat. I asked if she wanted to go back to bed. She said "那不是我的床。" I asked really? It seemed you rolled off the bed. She said "我不要叽里咕噜。" And stared at the bed, then her comforter back and forth. I put the pillow back on the mat, asked if she'd like me to carry her onto the bed. She said "我自己爬上床。" Slowly climbed on. I tucked her in and kissed her. She had some moisture on her cheeks. I wiped her and kissed her. It was 4:30. So I went back to sleep.
When I woke up again I heard lao lao and lao ye asking the girls to pick out 淘气的月，日，and some other characters, and the girls accusing the characters for being 淘气. Then I heard the girls requesting to draw. When I cleaned up and came down around 10:30, there was a mess of papers crumbled and laid about. Mimi was folding like a raccoon. Mimi had a piece of folder folded neatly into a column, I suspect form an adult. She folded down one side like sugarcane, held it to me and said "丹尼!" It really looked like the 丹尼 sugarcane monster from 多多学画画。
We went out and bought two passion fruits. We came back and I took a poop, when the girls came home with lao lao and lao ye from a trip to the playground. The girls had no intention to sleep, so I offered them the passion fruits. They eat had one. I gave Ella first because she was the slow eater, but she ate faster than Mimi and finished when Mimi still had half left. Ella started whining and crying for a new passion fruit. I gave the usual after cry we'll find something to eat speech. Mimi came to me, bent side ways cutely, said "我不哭。" She came back a couple more times while Ella was small whimpering, said "我不哭。" I praised her for being so composed. Mimi said "妈妈不喜欢哭的姐姐。" I said indeed, I love jie jie but not the crying. After a bit, Ella said "我不哭了。我要吃百香果。" She asked Mimi for the passion fruit and Mimi shared with her. But after a couple turns Ella wouldn't give the passion fruit back to Mimi. I forced it out of her hand, she held on fighting me, said statterly "如果Mimi吃了。。我就。。吃不着了。" I finally took the passion fruit from her hand and split it between the girls.
We talked about eating crab for dinner, Ella said "妈妈爸爸吃了螃蟹我们吃不着了。" Ba ba gave the girls some pinches of cake. Ella whined for 大的。I offered the girls to pick a cake from the box, Ella picked the biggest sponge cake and munched on it, skin first, but ate lots of it at the end. Shared some with Frank.
It was 2:30 so I put on bedtime music. We force changed Ella, she was a mess after. Mimi behaved very well, asked for lao lao, but was OK after I showed her lao lao was busy preparing food. Ella was still tantruming, she asked "要出去。" I agreed and went to get shoes. When I came back she tantrumed "不要出去。" Mimi sweetly said "我要出去。" I asked her which boots were hers, she picked the dog ones, we put them on and played outside a little, while ba ba gave Ella a peppa episode. I came back with Mimi, Ella was sitting on ba ba lap sniffling, tantrumed with high speed leg kicks and arm flags, when ba ba made any moves. Lao lao came and comforted Ella, she wanted a loop outside, lao lao let her step outside, then said the mice might be coming soon, Ella took some steps, then came back inside. Mimi requested lao lao carry her upstairs so sweetly, without any whining. Lao lao put Ella down and picked Mimi up. Ella quickly found my hand, but pushed it away, I realized she wanted the tissue paper I wiped her with, and gave it to her. She sat on the stairs and wiped her nose. I asked her to help me with my boogers, she wiped so softly and didn't get anything, I blew my nose, she wanted to see, I showed her the soaked paper. The girls were put in bed, wild laughed a little, cried a little, ba ba tucked Ella in again, they diminished in a minute.
An hour passed and I went to wake up the girls. I turned on the lights. Mimi immediately opened her eyes and started squirming. Ella took a while to open her eyes. But she was up soon and went downstairs. Mimi laid on bed for another 10 minutes. I read on my phone in the room with her, occasionally stole pets. Finally she whined a small wahh, stared at me, then rolled out of bed. We went downstairs together.
We saw an Ella sitting on ba ba drawing on his surface. Mimi watched intensely with her haibao on her chin. I offered lao ye the pad to play a game with Mimi. The game attracted Ella and she soon crowded out Mimi to play with the pad. Ba ba offered Mimi his old phone with a different game.
Lao ye went to change clothes and got ready to leave for Nanaimo. He asked for a hug. Ella lifted her head, said "我们会想念你的" with CERN face and sad voice. Then immediately went back to game. I took the pad away. Ella hugged and kissed lao ye. Then immediately turned to me and lifted her arms and asked for pad. I asked her to wait for Mimi to hug. Mimi gave lao ye a half hearted hug. I asked if Ella could give another hug. She stepped towards lao ye, then back, said "我已经抱完了。" It cracked lao ye up and offered pad back to Ella.
We came back to Redmond. I carried Ella out of the car. She pointed at the long ladder on the wall, said "长长的梯子是姥爷的。" I agreed. I pointed at the smaller ladder by the wall, said do you remember ba ba using this ladder. Ella said "姥姥试了一下。用梯子摘李子给我们吃。但是。。没有李子了。" I agreed the li zi season had passed.
I changed the girls to give them inner clothes. Ella refused to put the outter layer on afterwards, said "穿够了". I gave her two choices, she picked the truck hoody. I put it on, she looked quite happy. Mimi also refused the outter tshirt and ran away. I chased her down and put on the shirt. She wiiiaah'ed, I pointed out she had cupcake cat, hoping she might find it cute. She said "我不是蛋糕猫。" I said the cat could be your friend. She said "我不是蛋糕猫的老师。" Maybe because we always watched 米粒老师 when changing. She said "把你给应（扔）了。" Grabbed the cat on her shirt and made a throw away pose viciously. She said "这不是我的小猫。这是我讨厌的猫。"
It was bed time and we made our way up the stairs. On the stairs Mimi found the 卡梅拉 books. She asked "这是什么。啊？这是什么" a couple times. Ella walked passed her, said "是我拿来的。" Mimi handed me all the books in a pile, said quickly "你去吧。你拿去姥姥房间把。" I said indeed the 卡门 and 卡梅利多 books usually were kept in lao lao's room. Mimi said "还有贝利哦。" Ella repeated. I asked who was bei li oh. The girls said together "是小羊。" I looked at Ella, Ella nodded and nodded, as if to say of course he is sheep. I checked the book and bei li oh was the sheep friend of ka men and ka mei li duo. I took the books and we went upstairs together.
At lao lao's door, Ella said "我要摸一下软姥姥。" "摸了软姥姥才能睡觉。" She said it many times and wouldn't go into her room. I knew lao lao just went in the room, so I opened the door. Ella slowly walked in, took her hand out, bent down slightly, used her flat rigid hand softly petted lao lao's comforter by her feet. She then moved up a little and petted the comforter by her waist. She then moved to her hand and stared, lao lao had burried her head in the blanket. Lao lao pulled her head out, Ella gave her a kiss storm. lao lao said goodnight. Ella said "哈哈。姥姥盖着大黑被。我们的是大花被。晚安。" And left the room with me.
