This morning, the girls were drawing waiting for the adults to get ready. Ella suddenly started crying, said "不想去幼儿园". It escalated to a xiao rener at the bedroom door crying and turning at the knob.
Mimi was not happy, but only briefly made a cry face.
At pickup we caught Ella drinking at the table. Mimi appeared with a pineapple after we got in the door.
Ella said "在小人儿玩儿的时候妈妈爸爸来接小人儿了".
Mimi offered me the pineapple. Then a mushroom. I asked if it was poisonous. Ella said "他是甜的, 不毒".
Mimi took me to see the horse. She gave the toy horse a toy house, said "这是他家". She did the same for the cow and another house. Ba ba came to hurry up the girls. Mimi considered where to put the horse, she put it on the ground, on the shelf, on the ground, on a different part of the shelf, finally turned and put it on another table with a pretend lawn, said "小马吃草".
The girls wolfed down crackers in the car. Mimi finished first. I presented apple. Ella has been asking "这是什么味道" in the background. Once she saw the apple, she yelled "这是甜苹果的味道!". Mimi rejected the apple and asked for "别的". Ella then said "我要苹果", and gave me the crackers. I gave Mimi the crackers and offered Ella the apple. Ella looked at the apple and asked "苹果在哪里", while grabbing the apple piece. She asked "还有苹果吗?" I showed her the other piece of apple. She laughed her signature ha ha ha laugh.
Mimi continues to call the car 毛毛车 while rubbing her feet on the seat.
We took the bunnies in the house, and told the girls they needed a bath. Ella remembered I always forbid them from taking soft toys in the bath. She said "软软的东西不能洗澡, 会脏的". We sneak washed her bunny.
I spotted something in the clothes drawers by the kitchen counter that we used for the kids' kitchen supply table. Finally recovered some lost clothes, 小斑马, and the blue white horse.
Mimi immediately took 小斑马, grabbed her 毛虫, put 小斑马 on top of 毛虫, and started wilding. She put them on the wall, way high, on her tiptoes, said "小斑马骑毛虫爬大山".
She found a vacuum cleaner tube, and a costco box, sat in it and started looking through her tube binocular. Ella asked "找到宝藏了么".
Sophia put sunglasses on ella. Ella walked to me, said "看，我什么都看不到了". She then lowered her glasses, so her eyes peaked out from the top a little bit, asked "妈妈你在吃什么?". I showed her my sandwich. I asked if she wanted to eat sandwich, she said "我不要三明治, 我要紫菜". The sandwich had some seaweed in it.
Ella ran away with the seaweed, I requested her only eat on the hardwood floor. She took some seaweed, went to the other room, said to Sophia "我要吃紫菜了, 再见". And came back to the kitchen to eat.
Mimi randomly said sadly "我老了". After 10 minutes she said it again. While hanging over a box like dead. Cracked us up.
Mimi asked for "打气儿". I pretended to not understand and look around. She grabbed my hand and led me to the bookself. I lifted her to get the air pump, it's on the 2nd shelf this time not the top, but Mimi climbed with her feet desperately wanted to see the top shelf. Ba ba said he'll go away then. Then Mimi murmured "爸爸" cutely. After a few seconds, she continued her "姥姥!" cries. She stopped a little, then said "姥姥不要我了". Sophia quickly came to comfort.
When putting Ella to bed, I said Ella was ba ba and ma ma's 小人儿, we shared her. Ella said "我不是一半的小人儿".
I went into the girls' room after 20 minutes to find something. Ella said "妈妈你在干什么啊". I kissed her and she went down.
