In the morning Mimi spilled milk and got her top all wet. After ba ba changed Mimi, I lifted Ella on the changing table. Just as I took off her pants, she rummaged and grabbed Mimi's wet shirt from her side. She said "湿了。怎么湿了。" I said it was Mimi's shirt and Mimi got it wet. Ella said "Mimi把Ella的裤子尿湿了。" I laughed and took it away from her promising to put it in the laundry later, and it was Mimi's shirt not her pants. I then proceeded to put pants on her. She jerked her legs away, whined a shrill "ennnnn". I asked her why, she said "它湿吗。" I said it wasn't, she gave me her legs and I dressed her.
The girls refused to go to the car. They both sat on the stairs, Ella a stair up, bawled, Mimi a stair down, looked cerned at Ella and James and me back and forth. I lifted Ella and attempted to get her to the car. She struggled one arm out, where she was holding her bunny, said "要放回去" repeatedly. I asked if she didn't want bunny's company in the car. She said "我要斑马兔陪我。" I put her down, she walked all the way up the stairs, I opened the door, she put bunny in the bed, looked at it for a few seconds, then turned and held my hands and went all the way down, and all the way in the garage. When we were going down the garage stairs, Ella tried to grab the wall, the cabinet, the hook, very fast in succession, then said "要两只手", and grabbed my other hand. They were very slippery stairs. Ba ba lifted a crying Mimi into the car, who immediately started asking me to play music video. I asked as usual for her to let me know when she finished with crying. She immediately said "我哭完了。"
When we turned out the garage, Mimi said sadly "骷髅没了。" Ella said "因为不是万圣节了。" Mimi said emphasizing each word "我。想。念。骷。髅。"
On the morning drive Mimi said she wanted to watch the little train video. I asked who was the train's driver, the girls went silent and murmured "不知道" quietly. I asked is it pig? Mimi said "不是。" I asked is it chick? Mimi said "不是。" I asked is it monkey? Mimi said "不是。" Although I was sure it was a monkey. Then Mimi quietly said "是小公举。" The monkey was indeed the 小公举 from the 大王叫我来巡山 video.
We came back from work, Ella saw us and said to lao lao "Ella准备好了。要去姥姥姥爷家。"
We drove out of home. Lao lao sat in the back with the girls and chatted with them. Ella said "如果Ella和Mimi吵架，我们的车会撞车。" Sounds like the plot from Mr. Gumpy. I borrowed the book but haven't read it with them, maybe they read it themselves.
Lao lao practiced with the girls what to say to lao ye when they saw him. Lao lao asked what did you want to say to lao ye. Ella said "你好姥爷。" Mimi said loudly "姥爷你好帅。"
The girls were super excited after we talked to the border guard. They yelled things like "他看我们的卡片。他看姥姥的照片。他看狗狗的找片。" Ella laughed her "HA HA HA HA HA" high speed high volumn clear syllable laugh many times.
We arrived and the girls got more excited, stating they saw lao lao's house as soon as we turned into the resident area. Lao ye came and greeted us and lifted Ella. I went to get Mimi, Mimi struggled and said "我要姥爷抱。" I asked her if I could carry her to see lao ye. She sweetly said "好哒。" I unbuckled her, and just as I got her out of the car lao ye came for her, Mimi happily went to lao ye and grabbed him tight.
Lao ye played with the girls. They went into the car and lao ye pushed them back and forth. They came out of the car and went back to the toys. Mimi suddenly turned around, said quietly "姥爷你好帅。" Lao ye thanked her.
We tried to start bedtime routine. And Mimi quickly started whining, and asked to eat banana. We gave her a banana. She ate it, and said "我要出去@#$蜜蜂摇摇。" I said she could go check the weather and light condition and opened the door. She went down the steps and walked on the side walk. I requested she put her shoes on before heading out, she said "好哒", walked all the way back and up the stairs. I got the car keys and her coat, and got her boots from the car, she ate banana and waited on the porch the whole time. I came with boots, and she xixi'ed a little, and lifted her foot. I asked her to sit on the steps, she did and I put the boots on her. I tried to put the coat on her but she refused on the ground that she couldn't peel her banana, I forgot what exactly she said but it was very funny, relating specifically to peeling banana. She again walked towards the playground. Some neighbours came out, she stared a little, turned back, grabbed my hand, and started walking back to the house. I informed her it was only neighbours and if she'd like to go further, she said "我要姥姥姥爷", and walked all the way back. Ba ba and Ella were looking out from the door window weirdly. Ba ba let Mimi in.
The girls didn't want to go to bed. I brushed Mimi and ba ba brushed Ella. After brushing Mimi, I lifted Ella onto the changing table for diaper change. She squirmed and said "我不要刷。爸爸已经刷完了。" I explained I was changing diaper, and she calmed down. She then said "我不要妈妈抱我上楼。我要自己上楼。" I agreed. She really headed upstairs by herself. Mimi followed her whining. Lao lao and lao ye came to say goodbye. I said there are two bunnies waiting for them upstairs. Mimi whined "我不要小兔。我要海豹。" Ella looked at lao lao, said "Mimi不要小兔。Mimi要海豹。"
In the bedroom ba ba offered to lay down a little with the girls and lay in the middle. Ella kept petting him down, asking "这是什么啊。" then come back to her pillow and laying down. After a few times, Mimi said "这是我的爸爸呀。他在陪我睡觉呀。" Mimi's 呀 was the softest sweetest sound.
I rubbed Ella's cheek again and again, it was so soft and rubbable. Ella suddenly said "妈妈你可以下楼了。" I asked if it was really OK for me to leave. Ella said "你今天摸完了。你可以下楼了。" I asked if I could poke her nose, she agreed, and I poked her nose. We continued laying there.
After a while ba ba sat up. Mimi started crying "爸爸睡觉。爸爸睡觉。" She said it a few times, then really sadly said "爸爸不睡觉了。" Ba ba stood up, and started kicking me. I also sat up, Ella quickly grabbed my arm, refused to let go. I told her I'll go check if lao lao and lao ye needed us, she let go a little and I slipped out.
I brushed my teeth while listening to the girls wail. I went back into the room. Ella had threw her pillow off the bed and is slapping the sheets, whined "不要手纸。" I thought it was 不要兔子 and tried to take her bunny away, until I decoded from her frantic talking, that I left some tissue paper on her bed after wiping her nose, I got the paper and asked if she'd like her pillow back, she agreed, I put it back, and she laid down. By now Mimi started whining "我要爸爸。" I informed her I'll help her in place of ba ba, and asked her if she's like to do a few things, which she rejected. I asked if holding hands would make her feel better. She held my hand, said "好的我们拉手下楼吧。" I said we could hold hands and lay here, she said "好的。" I laid down, and she laid down and chuckled.
I laid between the girls. Ella leaned on me and gave me kiss storms frequently. Mimi rubbed my arm briskly frequently, while saying "妈妈" with the cutest softest voice. Ella asked me a couple times "妈妈你可以摸我的小软兔。" I pet her bunny. She would say "你可以摸他的裙子。" I petted the bunny towel. I would acclaimed how soft the bunny was, Ella would then effortfully kissed the bunny
Mimi turned horizontal and started kicking me. I asked her why she was kicking me, she said "我用脚碰你。" Ella sat up and said loudly "Mimi你不要踢妈妈！Mimi你不要踢妈妈！" I quickly said it was OK if Mimi touched with her feet gently. Ella laid back down.
When I finally left the room, Ella was still awake. She lifted her head to look at me, I kissed her on the forehead, she buried her head into her pillow.
The girls refused to go to the car. They both sat on the stairs, Ella a stair up, bawled, Mimi a stair down, looked cerned at Ella and James and me back and forth. I lifted Ella and attempted to get her to the car. She struggled one arm out, where she was holding her bunny, said "要放回去" repeatedly. I asked if she didn't want bunny's company in the car. She said "我要斑马兔陪我。" I put her down, she walked all the way up the stairs, I opened the door, she put bunny in the bed, looked at it for a few seconds, then turned and held my hands and went all the way down, and all the way in the garage. When we were going down the garage stairs, Ella tried to grab the wall, the cabinet, the hook, very fast in succession, then said "要两只手", and grabbed my other hand. They were very slippery stairs. Ba ba lifted a crying Mimi into the car, who immediately started asking me to play music video. I asked as usual for her to let me know when she finished with crying. She immediately said "我哭完了。"
When we turned out the garage, Mimi said sadly "骷髅没了。" Ella said "因为不是万圣节了。" Mimi said emphasizing each word "我。想。念。骷。髅。"

I tried to put the coat on her but she refused on the ground that she couldn't peel her banana, I forgot what exactly she said but it was very funny, relating specifically to peeling banana. She again walked towards the playground. Some neighbours came out, she stared a little, turned back, grabbed my hand, and started walking back to the house. I informed her it was only neighbours and if she'd like to go further, she said "我要姥姥姥爷", and walked all the way back. Ba ba and Ella were looking out from the door window weirdly. Ba ba let Mimi in.

Ella asked me a couple times "妈妈你可以摸我的小软兔。" I pet her bunny. She would say "你可以摸他的裙子。" I petted the bunny towel. I would acclaimed how soft the bunny was, Ella would then effortfully kissed the bunny
