Ella 5 years old

It's Christmas again and you're almost 6! Let's see what notes I kept for your 5 year old letter :)  This letter started in March, the US-Canada border was still closed with no signs of opening, Ms Shanda was your main caretaker. You're comfortable with her. When she worn soft clothes, you were all over her rubbing her shoulder and chest, telling her how soft she was. She got shy and stopped wearing soft clothes. You had a beading phase, a sequins phase, a bracelet phase, and lots of different paper craft phases. Our craft box was always full. I sneakily garbaged the ones on the bottom every week. Your 温柔 ranking was lao lao > Ms Shanda > mama. But you still wanted to play with me you said. Everyday you asked me what day it was tomorrow, if I said it was going to be Ms Shanda day, you pouted and said you wished it was mama day. Except once, Ms Shanda promised to make brownies with you that coming Monday. Every day that weekend you asked, is tomorrow Ms Shanda day

Mimi 5 years old

It's Christmas again and you're almost 6! You're comfortable with her. You showed her your butt. Many times. Once when you were playing outside, you ran to her, pulled down your pants, pushed your butt in her face, and said it hurts, in Chinese. She understood, and I gave you an emergency butt soak. (You've just showed your butt to Ruyi too, we're happy you feel comfortable with her too). I hope you have less itchy butt as you grow up :') You run over immediately when Ms Shanda opens her lunchbox, with your big eyes sparkling, making ennns noises. She always shares her fruits and sweets. You have a sweet tooth. You eat dessert as fast as baba. You even asserted you'll eat watermelon faster than baba, check out the contest video (-_^) One day I decided to make taro balls

When Mimi wakes up at night, she has been coming into our bed to hug jam, and sometimes they both fall asleep in the bed. This morning I work up and found a sweet Mimi sleeping beside. (She later bounced out (for I felt her stepping over my leg in bouncy steps) after I fell asleep again after puff molested by Ella) Later Jam asked when Mimi came in the bed with me. Apparently she wasn't there when Jam woke up in the morning and left. Sweet xiao Mi must have taken Jam's place and accompanied me.

04/22/2021 - Thursday, on vacation

 My covid test was positive. James explained to EllaMimi and asked them to stay away from me. Then he went out to take his test. The girls were two playing and carried on. After a bit they ran to me and asked if there's more food, then Ella asked "oh 你没有口罩么". I replied there was no mask because they were all in the car that daddy drove away T_T they ran away to upstairs to two play. After a bit Mimi ran to me and asked about pokemon, while staying around the corner of the room and didn't come close. Upon getting an answer she ran back upstairs.

The kids were really into Pokemon after watching Jam play. I suddenly had the great idea to install Pokemon Go again. The kids had a lot of fun catching Pokemon. But the pokeballs went so fast. We discovered a Piplup shaped shadow on the radar, but went inside since it started raining. Later in the day we gathered enough energy to go again, I got Jam's phone and headed to the nearby PokeStops. Now there're 2! No more Piplup. We did catch a super high level Electobuzz. On the walk home, the kids happily talked about how nice it would be if Piplup was waiting for them in their room. They might have a Charmander there too! We came home, went to their room, checked, and there was one Raticate. We caught it, and projected it on their bed, they were excited they excitedly yelled and ran away.
