Today was travel day, so the girls got up early and started packing. Mimi hugged long cat, took it and walked all around the living room and bedroom. Xiao E followed her saying "chang mao chang mao". And tried to take chang mao. Mimi swiped at her, sounded her high cry Mimi siren, yelled "不给, mimi 的". Xiao E was offered the tiny hello kitty, she was happy holding it, poking kitty cheek and said "ella 的猫猫".
Xiao E wanted to play with the clothes, the adults directed her to help pack the xiao clothes in the bag. She finished one pile.
The girls were offered some sweet 圈圈s. They loved them. Then the adults switched them to less sugary bao baos. Then ate a little. Mimi said "Mimi 要这个", and pointed at the sugary quan quan bottle. Ma ma took it and asked if it was what Mimi wanted, Mimi pointed at the ground, stumped her foot, ordered sternly "放下来". Ma ma obliged. The girls feasted on the sugary quan quans until they were herded to the car.
When leaving the house, Mimi saw 舅婆 closing the gate and said "bye bye jiu po". She was informed jiu po was coming with. When the car started driving, xiao E said "jiu po 坐车".
While waiting at the restaurant, the girls ran around a christmas tree with some poinsettia's at the bottom. They walked up and started playing with the leaves. Mimi wow'ed at the "大球". Xiao E rocked a traffic cone. The girls were taken downstairs to see fishes. Mimi said "bye bye 大球". They were intrigued by the escalator, holding the adults' hands tight and didn't move at all. They wanted to ride more and pulled the adults, but the adults led them away.
The girls tip toe'd to see the fishes. Mimi looked hard in the water, then squatted down and tried to see through the pond wall, after a few times she figured she couldn't see through the wall. They laughed at the fish all excited, pointing at them and saying "好大, 好多". Ella tried to crawl into the pond, but mama stopped that. It was almost time for brunch, so the girls said bye to the fish and went back up to the upper level for the restaurant. Xiao E found a fence to look down from the top floor, and squeezed her head between the bars. When asked what she was looking at, she said "看鱼".
At the restaurant the girls saw a giant horse statue outside the restaurant, and said "好高!". Dada picked up ella and asked her if she wanted to poke the horse's nose, she got scared and wouldn't look at the statue.
We got seated and ordered some food. Mimi and ella started with some meat, but quickly lost interest when the taro buns arrived. Mimi pointed at the bright purple buns and said "还要!". So we fed them some buns, and then they didn't really eat much else after that. Dada tried offering some chicken feet, and mimi actually loved it. She was eating it faster than dada could remove the meat from the bones. Da jiu gong helped and torn off some pieces. Mimi only liked some pieces and threw away the rest. Some finger pieces, some palm pieces, the adults don't know what was the criteria. Xiao E ate some of the taro buns. The adult rejoiced and gave her more pieces. She didn't touch them for a while. Then she picked up each piece and put them under the plate lid on the table in one neat row, then she lifted the plate to examine her line, then put the plate down, gave a little troll smile, lifted it up to look again, and repeated many times. Afterwards she "给妈妈吃" all the pieces. The adults sneaked away to try to pay, leaving xiao E at the table, Mimi was used as escape prop. But the jiu gong and jiu pos were too fast at paying. Xiao jiu po even sneaked the adults' gifts back into ma ma's pocket.
The girls played, danced, and posed for pictures with the xiao jiu po, da jiu po, and jiu gong.
Mimi wilded on the plane as usual while Xiao E napped early. Mimi was offered baby puzzle. She let mama hold her hand and put some animals in their holes. She had trouble keeping her hand still on the phone, and making the precise drop needed to put the animals in the hole. She got frustrated and swiped at the animals and whined. She was very tired. She was offered 小苹果 and fell asleep after two plays.
Ella napped a very long time. When ella was napping in dada's arms, she had dada's hoodie over her head to stay warm. Near the end of the nap she would slowly sit up with the hood covering her face, and then fade back to sleep. She popped up a few times before finally awoke. After a while xiao E became restless and started squeaking. Mimi stirred up and wouldn't let ma ma hold her in the small space, she needed to stretch out and slipped to the floor. She laid on the floor on her tummy, laid her head on her hands and closed her eyes. Xiao E was offered to ma ma and ba ba tried to give Mimi a better sleeping human bed. Mimi was not satisfied and swiped at ba ba.
Xiao E was offered baby puzzle. After ma ma demo'ed, xiao E put an animal back in two tries. She was very focused and slowly moved the animals back to their holes. She got frustrated sometimes, but after brief rests got back to the game. She put back countless animals for 10 minutes. When she saw a dog she said "frank". A squirrel looked like a fox and xiao E said "shu ri" (狐狸) in the cutest voice. Xiao E started to refuse to play, so she was offered fruit puzzles. The first one was a coconut, ma ma mentioned it was coconut. A few puzzles after a coconut hole appeared again, xiao E pointed at the hole and said "coconut". She played for another 10 minutes.
The girls switched adults again. Mimi was offered the pixar bird short. She laughed wildly whenever the baby bird appeared. Xiao E was watching the lava short, but was attracted by Mimi's laughter and noticed the bird. She started yelling "niao niao". The girls yelled together "XIAO NIAO NIAO" for a long time.
Up to bed. Ma ma said "ma ma bao mi". Usually the girls would say "ba ba bao woo". Today xiao E said "Ella bao...ba ba bao Ella".
