Listened to some kids audios to get myself perked up in the morning. Love the way Mimi says lao ye / lao lao so formally when leaving them a message.

In the morning a little after 2:10 Ella started crying. I checked on her, she cried and said 我要喝牛奶。Once we got out of the door, Ella stopped and said 冷，要抱。I carried her down, she was so happy and kissed me nonstop. She even turned my head to kiss both cheeks. I heated her milk and gave to her. She took sip, and handed it back to me, said 放进冰箱里。让他冷一下。我一会儿再喝。I added some cold milk, she took a few sips, and handed it back to me again. Said again to cool it in the fridge. I put it back. Ella stretched out her hands, said 我要上楼。I carried her upstairs. She said 妈妈在旁边睡。I laid beside her and really fell asleep. She awoke again later, cried for 喝奶。I asked her to drink later. She asked for 盖被。I tucked her in. And went back to bed. It was a little after 4 then. We went to the light festival on the way to surrey. Half way through, Mimi said 圣诞老人呢。圣诞老人藏起来了。圣诞老人藏在哪儿呢。There was indeed only one santa at the entrance and no more.

In the morning, Ella wanted the ceiling fan remote so grandpa gave it to her. Ella held it to her head like a phone. She said “我是狗”. Everyone was confused at this. Grandma asked what was her name? Ella responded, “Frank”. Folks are still confused but at least she’s consistent. Xiao E had been referring everything as “ella 的”. When she asked what something was, she’d ask “这是ella的什么?”. Today xiao E was playing her little matching bee. She raised her head and noticed the door ajar. She said in the saddest voice with the most furrowed brows, “ella de 门儿开啦”. She then timidly walked to the door in her big pajamas with furrowed brows and walked out. The adults left for food while the xiao ones started drawing. Lao lao showed the adults the drawing in the afternoon. Mimi had frantically colored a paper in various colors in horizontal lines. She called it "树枝". Lao ye reported. Him and lao lao took the girls to the library. They reclaimed the camera the adults left there. ...

04/22/2021 - Thursday, on vacation

 My covid test was positive. James explained to EllaMimi and asked them to stay away from me. Then he went out to take his test. The girls were two playing and carried on. After a bit they ran to me and asked if there's more food, then Ella asked "oh 你没有口罩么". I replied there was no mask because they were all in the car that daddy drove away T_T they ran away to upstairs to two play. After a bit Mimi ran to me and asked about pokemon, while staying around the corner of the room and didn't come close. Upon getting an answer she ran back upstairs.
